Concerns raised over Flybe hospital link

Concerns have been raised over the future of the Island’s hospital contract with Flybe.

It’s after the airline announced it would be closing its base on the Isle of Man in March next year.

Flybe says despite this it remains fully committed to existing services and has given no indication that any routes will be affected.

Government currently pays over £1 million a year for the hospital contract which sees the airline carry people to the UK for hospital treatment.

MLC Dudley Butt says the Chief Minister needs to verify this agreement at a meeting with Flybe bosses later this week:
