Man found guilty of illegal fishing
A Port Erin man has been fined £2,000 after being found guilty of illegal crab and lobster fishing.
Phillip Tasker was charged after he was found to be using illegal pots which don’t allow undersized animals to escape.
DEFA is reminding fisherman that gaps are required to be fitted to all pots used to catch lobsters and crabs.
People caught flouting the rules can be banned from fishing.
