Chief Minister defends government addiction service

A government supported addiction service adequately meets the needs of the the people of the Isle of Man.

That's according to the Chief Minister who says people with drug problems will still receive the right help.

Allan Bell was responding to a question about the future of the drugs charity DASH in the House of Keys last week which used to receive 90 per cent of its funding from the Department of Social Care.

That was pulled last year and now some politicians say they're worried that moving services "in house" will mean a drop in the number of people proactively seeking help.
