Seven battling to become MLCs
A total of seven candidates have been nominated for four places on the Legislative Council.
Nominations closed at 5pm yesterday as the term of four MLCs came to an end.
Juan Turner and Tony Wild are standing for re-election and will go up against Linda Bowers-Kasch, Michael Coleman, current MHK Geoff Corkish, Peter Hill and Nigel Malpass.
Outgoing MLCs David Callister and Eddie Lowey had previously confirmed their retirement from politics.
Votes will be cast by MHKs on March 18th.
