Police seize huge quantity of heroin at Sea Terminal

Heroin with a street value of more than £11,000 was seized last week by police.

A 22-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested at the Sea Terminal last Thursday after police suspected he had drugs secreted internally.

He was taken to Noble’s Hospital before being charged with production of a Class A controlled drug and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

The drugs had a street value of £11,700.

Police say travelling to the Island with the intent to supply heroin will not be tolerated and they will work hard to remove the availability of the drugs on the Island.
