Attorney General and Deputy Assessor of Income Tax bailed until committal

The Attorney General Stephen Harding and Deputy Assessor of Income Tax Colin Goodwin have appeared back in court today.

Mr Harding faces 6 charges in total of perjury, forgery and a count of committing an act against public justice.

Mr Goodwin is charged with two counts of committing an act against public justice and one of perjury.

The two only spoke briefly to confirm their identity.

The hearing was adjourned for two weeks to allow for more time for the extensive materials to be studied and summarised.

Both men were bailed with the condition they don’t communicate with any witnesses.

They will next appear at the committal, which isn’t expected to be until around spring time.
