Pub quiz team wins £100,000
You wouldn’t usually expect to win tens of thousands of pounds at your local pub quiz, but that’s exactly what’s happened to a team from Douglas.
The group came third in the weekly quiz at the Manor Pub in Willaston on Wednesday night – the prize was a national lottery scratch card, which revealed a prize of £100,000.
The landlady at the pub has confirmed a team of five locals scooped the huge prize and will each be £20,000 better off.
The winners haven’t been identified.
