Women urged to check their breasts

Women in the Isle of Man are being urged to check for signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

New statistics from Breakthrough Breast Cancer show that only two per cent of women can name the five warning signs of the disease.

The study, which surveyed women in the UK, also found that fewer than half of those who responded check their body regularly.

Figures show one thousand women die from breast cancer each month.

Angie Aire, the chair of the Breakthrough group here, says the statistics are shocking but help is at hand:
