Work to commence on sheltered housing for the south

A new phase of building work to create more sheltered housing in the south of the Island will begin next month.


Marashen Crescent Housing Committee, in conjunction with the Department of Social Care, is building a number of new units in Marashen Crescent in Port Erin.


The committee has just opened a brand new sheltered housing complex at Reayrt y Chrink in Port St Mary which comprises of 34 new flats.


Once this new complex is finished it means there will be 136 units for people who require them representing a total spend of over £4 million.
