Island experiencing wettest summer on record

With still ten days to go until the end of August this summer already has the title of being the Island’s wettest on record.

It comes off the back of the wettest June on record with further heavy downpours throughout this month contributing to the gloomy forecast.

And it looks like it isn’t going to get much better with high pressure bringing further unsettled weather for the remainder of the summer.

Dave Hulse from the Ronaldsway met office said they've seen a record breaking 335ml of rainfall making it the wettest summer since 1985.
