DEFA Minister warns of cuts to services

Members of the public will have to expect a reduced service from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture as budgets are tightened.

DEFA says it is working hard to identify areas where it can positively contribute towards rebalancing the budget.

Employment costs will be capped through natural wastage, administration budgets will be reduced and a review of the saw mill operations will be undertaken.

Minister Phil Gawne says the department has already made progress but the public could expect a reduction in services going forward:
