Jewellery belonging to Trevor Baines to be auctioned

Jewellery belonging to the former millionaire Trevor Baines will be sold at a public auction on Friday.

Almost 90 lots belonging to Baines and his wife Wendy will go under the hammer at the Empress Hotel in Douglas.

It’s a coroner’s auction which means all money raised will go towards paying off the Baines’ debt to the Attorney General after being jailed for money laundering.

Among the possessions for sale are bracelets and necklaces, a selection of watches and other decorative items including two photographs of Hitler.

Auction viewing is between 12pm and 6pm and the sale will start at 7pm.
