Minister explains decision to appoint head of e-Gaming

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin has spoken to ENERGY FM about the decision to appoint a new head of e-Gaming.

It was announced in Tynwald on Tuesday that Tim Craine will be stepping up to the role after 10 years in the industry.

It came as a surprise given that just last month Minister Shimmin announced that a five person team would be charged with overseeing the development of the sector.

Mr Craine had been line manager for previous head Garth Kimber and is able to now take full responsibility for the role after he was freed up from a number of his other commitments within the department.

Mr Shimmin said he feels they now have the best team in place to drive e-Gaming forward.
