Thief steals handbag and purse from house in Douglas
A woman who had her handbag stolen from her house yesterday afternoon has appealed to the thief to hand it in.
The black and white leopard print handbag and matching purse were stolen from the porch of a house on Stanley View in Douglas at around 12.10.
A blue and white carrier bag of groceries was also stolen.
Police say the purse contained a significant amount of money but the owner is primarily upset about the loss of family photographs - described as of “great sentimental value” - which were also in it.
