Advice against using steroids

The Island’s Drug Advice Service Helpline has warned people in the Isle of Man against using steroids.

Last week a study in the UK press revealed abuse of steroids is on par with heroin addiction in some parts of the country.

Sale of the enhancer is illegal - however possession is not, with many people resorting to buying from unreliable sites on the internet.

Shelly Stanley from Dash warned people on the Island against using them as they have particularly negative health implications:
