Manx Labour Party to take part in housing review

The Manx Labour Party has confirmed it will be participating in the Department of Social Care’s Housing Policy Review.

The MLP has said given its years of experience of dealing with housing issues it is well set up to offer a submission to the consultation process.

As it stands there are 1400 people waiting for public authority housing, 400 for sheltered accommodation and 900 on the list for first time buyer accommodation.

Chairman of the Party David Cretney said the party is looking for a fair system in an inclusive society.
