Funeral of Robin Gibb to take place today

Bee Gee star Robin Gibb will be laid to rest today at a private funeral service in his home town of Oxfordshire.

The Manx born singer, who was 62, died last month after a long battle with cancer, pneumonia and a serious bowel condition.

Before the service at St Mary’s Church in Thame Robin’s coffin will be taken through the town on a horse drawn carriage to allow fans to pay their respects.

Paying his respects to the star, Chief Minister Allan Bell said he had done a lot for the Island:
