President warns against Tynwald absences
The President of Tynwald has given members a stern warning on not turning up to sittings.
Clare Christian told Tynwald members that it was a key responsibility of election to the parliament to be present at sittings.
Last month, John Houghton and Zac Hall failed to turn up to a vote on preschool education, which later saw them sacked from the Department of Education and Children.
Ahead of this month's sitting, Mrs Christian reminded members that there could be repercussions for those not in Tynwald without permission [play clip]
