Scheme launched to help carers

The Department of Health is to encourage carers to ensure they focus on their own health, as well as that of the person they are caring for.

The "Looking After Me" scheme is a follow up to the "Live Well, Stay Well" scheme, which helps those with long term conditions to manage them.

Health Minister David Anderson says the needs of carers have been overlooked in the past.
