CCTV being checked following Foxdale fire
CCTV is being reviewed after a large pile of rubbish caught fire in Foxdale.
Fire crews were called out at around 9.40 last night to a report of a bin fire.
They arrived to find a 15m x 20m pile of rubbish which was well alight.
Officers had to contact the MEA before they could start tackling the blaze due to overhead cables.
Crews spent 3.5 hours at the incident.
The fire is continuing to burn today, but is being managed so it is unlikely to pose an ongoing hazard.
