Don't disturb nesting birds, warns DEFA

The public is being urged to be careful of nesting birds.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking those who use land owned by the Department not to disturb the birds during their breeding season.

Nesting starts in early April running until the end of July.

Caution is particularly urged for those who stray away from footpaths, as many species nest on the ground.

Legal proceedings can be brought against those who disturb nesting birds.
