Public urged to vote in local elections
The public is being urged to vote during the upcoming local authority elections.
Turnout during the 2008 elections was just 25%.
Of the 30 wards and districts across the 24 local authorities, just 10 need to hold a public ballot after nominations for candidates closed last week.
Commissioners and Councillors have a wide range of responsibilities, including refuse collections, street lighting and libraries.
The elections will take place on April 26th.
Guidance for those wanting to vote, and details of how to register can be found on the Government's website.
