FA and police issue safety reminder to football fans

The Isle of Man Football Association and Douglas police are reminding those planning on attending Saturday's match at the Bowl of the rules within the ground.

Supporters are being told that they must stay off the playing surface at all times, and are also being reminded that the Bowl is non smoking and that alcohol mustn't be brought in.

An increased number of stewards and police officers will be on duty inside and outside the ground for the game between the Isle of Man and Southern Amateur League in the Inter League Cup.

Over 1250 people attended the last round, and a big crowd is expected again for this fixture.

The FA and police are appealing for fans to car share to reduce congestion around the ground, or use public transport.

Tickets for the game are £4 for adults, £2 for youths over 16 and OAPs, and free for under 16s accompanied by an adult.

The match kicks off at 3.00pm on Saturday.
