Inquest to open into pedestrian death

The inquest into the death of a woman who died after being hit by a car is to open tomorrow.

Christina Collister died 17 days after being hit by Renault Clio near the Bowl in Douglas in November last year.

The 37 year old was admitted to hospital after the incident with serious leg injuries but was discharged before her death.

Following Mrs Collister's death, police said it was too early to say if she died as a result of the collision.

The inquiry will be opened and adjourned in Douglas Courthouse tomorrow afternoon at 2pm.
