New civic amenity site for the north
A new facility for residents in the north of the Island to dispose of waste and recycle materials opens later this week.
The new Northern Civic Amenity Site will officially be opened on Friday from 1.00pm.
The Department of Infrastructure says the Balladoole Farm site has been finished ahead of schedule and within budget.
Residents of the north will be able to get rid of items including TVs, fridges and PC monitors at the 4000 square metre facility.
It also has a re-use building, to encourage residents to leave items which could be used by others rather than throw them away.
