Crash scene to remain closed until 12pm
The main road between Douglas and the south of the Island is to remain closed until 12pm following a serious crash at Fairy Bridge early this morning.
The A5 was closed between Blackboards and Ballavale Road near the Santon Motel at around 6.30am.
Police say the road will remain closed for investigations until around 12.00 this lunchtime.
As a result of the road closure, some bus services have been affected.
Bus Vannin says the 1, 2 and X1 routes are all being diverted via the Orrisdale Road, St Marks, Braaid and Cooil Road through to Douglas until to road re-opens.
