Evidence sought for electoral reform committee

The Committee looking at changing the political constituencies of the Island is looking for views on the plans.

The Committee into the Electoral Reform Bill is particularly keen to hear evidence on plans to split the Island into eight voting areas, each choosing three MHKs and one MLC.

The Bill successfully passed through the reading stages in the House of Keys, but the Legislative Council referred it back to the lower house.

MHKs voted for a committee to look into the proposed changes further.

Those with information which could help the committee must contact Legislative Buildings by February 1st.
