Minister disappointed as unemployment rises

The Treasury Minister says he's disappointed that unemployment has increased on the Isle of Man.

The number of people looking for work rose by 61 during November, taking the total to 971, or 2.3% of the economically active population.

Eddie Teare says the increase is down to conditions internationally making it a difficult time for the economy.

It's expected there'll be another rise in unemployment in December and January as seasonal work comes to an end.
