New Minister 'open minded' when it comes to Sarah's Law

The new Home Affairs Minister says he has an open mind when it comes to Sarah's Law.

In the House of Keys today, Juan Watterson was asked for an update on an assessment that's being carried out by the DHA,

Following a public campaign earlier this year, the Department agreed to look into bringing Sarah's Law in here.

A working group was formed to carry out the task but Chairman Bill Malarkey didn't get re-elected to the House of Keys in September.

Mr Watterson says he will reconvene the group once the political delegations for the Department are decided.

The party's findings are due to be known by the end of the year.
