Walker rescued after fall

A walker has been rescued by emergency crews after a fall in Ballaglass Glen.

It happened a good distance from the road and the Fire and Rescue Service was called in to help get the casualty to an ambulance.

It took twenty minutes to stretcher the inured person out of the glen.

Tram services between Laxey and Ramsey were suspended for a time.

It's confirmed the man suffered a serious fracture and is now comfortable in Noble's Hospital.
