Nightclub has alcohol licence suspended
A Douglas nightclub has had its licence suspended because of violent incidents and drunken behaviour.
Police complained to the licensing court about a series of problems at G&Ds in Peveril Square.
On Thursday last week, the court took the decision to suspend the alcohol licence for G&Ds and Danny's Bar for 28 days.
Police want the licence withdrawn altogether and the matter is pending full hearing which will be held within the next month.
If the application by police is unsuccessful, the business would be able to serve alcohol again from 18th August.
