TT 2011 gets underway this evening

TT 2011 officially gets underway this evening with the first practice session.

It'll be the first time riders will get to test their bikes on the Mountain Course ahead of the races next week.

The Mountain Road will close at 5.00 pm, with the rest of the course shutting an hour later.

Solo bikes are due to get underway at 6.20, finishing at 7.55.

At 8.00pm the sidecars will have a run out until around 8.50.

Roads are due to re-open no later than 9.30.

As well as the racing, TT brings in big business for the Island.
