More tests needed to establish teenager's cause of death

An initial post mortem on a 17 year old girl who died over the weekend did not reveal the cause of death.

A Home Office pathologist carried out the examination yesterday, but further forensic examinations will be needed to establish how the girl died for certain.

Paramedics were called to an address in Ormley Avenue in Ramsey on Friday evening after reports a teenager was unconscious.

The girl was declared dead on arrival at Noble's Hospital.

A 35 year old man, who was at the address, was arrested and has been released on police bail.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed of the death.
