Minister denies using underhand tactics
The Infrastructure Minister denies doing anything underhand to win a Tynwald vote to fund works on the Queen's Pier.
The £1.8m project will stabilise the Ramsey landmark and stop it rotting any further.
The issue was debated for two hours in Tynwald on Tuesday.
It ended up with Phil Gawne moving the item before three members were back in the chamber following the tea break.
Mr Gawne has been accused doing this on purpose as the vote may have gone the other way if all members were present.
As it went, the motion scraped through by one vote
The media who report on the Tynwald sitting were also locked out of the chamber at the time, supposedly by accident, but this has fuelled the conspiracy theory even more.
