IoM to spend quarter of a million on EU

The Isle of Man is to spend quarter of a million pounds over the coming year on representation within the European Union.

The Treasury has allotted £250,000 for the 2011 to 2012 financial year for representation in Brussels.

Despite this, the Island is not a member of the EU.

Treasury Minister Anne Craine revealed the figure in a House of Keys written answer.
