Strike would be damaging to business warns Post Office
The Post Office says any strike action would be extremely damaging to business.
250 workers are to be balloted next week on whether or not to strike.
Pay talks between the Communication Workers Union and Isle of Man Post are deadlocked.
Postal bosses say they have been unable to budge on their position as a public sector pay freeze was announced last year.
The Post Office has written to customers to explain what's happening at the moment.
It says if staff decide to walk out, robust contingency plans will be drawn up to minimise disruption to business.
The ballot closes on 16th March and will be follwoed by a cooling-off period.
