Crab and Lobster Consultation nearly over

Members of the Islands Crab and Lobster industry are being reminded they have until Monday to have there say on changes to current guidelines.

The governments consultation period ends on Monday and interested parties are urged to have their say before the deadline runs out.

Proposed changes include the introduction of escape hatches in pots and a maximum number of pots a single vessel can fish.

Juan Turner is the member with responsibility for fisheries and he tells us why the changes are needed.
