Chief Minister to be questioned over Steam Packet

The Chief Minister will be asked about the Steam Packet Company in Tynwald next week.

MHK Graham Cregeen will ask Tony Brown if it is appropriate for the Council of Ministers to recommend paying a subsidy to the Steam Packet.

The question comes after a tough couple of weeks for the passenger ferry company.

A new freight service by rival operator Mezeron has led to uncertainty over jobs at the Packet.

Tynwald sits from Tuesday next week.
