Changes to contraversial new bus network

A number of changes to the contraversial new bus timetable come into force today.

The amendments come after complaints about the changes, which were announced earlier this month.

North Douglas MHKs John Houghton and Bill Henderson have been particularly angered by the changes to the bus routes.

The changes are as follows:

• 0735 6A will run as service 5 and terminate at St John's
• 0745 5 will terminate at the Hospital
• An additional 6 will depart from Banks Circus at 0730 terminating at The Hope
• 0804 service 4 from St John's will depart at 0759 and run 5 minutes earlier to Niarbyl
• 0830 7 from Niarbyl will depart at 0825 a run 5 minutes earlier to Peel.
• 0817 8 from St John's will commence at Peel Town Hall at 0810 and run as timetables to Port Erin
• 0610 21A departing from Banks Circus will now terminate at Lord Street not Banks Circus
• 0709 21B from Banks Circus will now depart from Lord Street at 0710
