Nationalist grafitti accused enters politics
A man who was charged following a spate of nationalist grafitti has been elected uncontested to Port St Mary Commissioners.
22 year old Mark O'Meara appeared in court after a number of countries followed by the year they gained independence from the UK were daubed in prominent places around the Island.
These included Mannin ?? at Tynwald Hill in St John's.
A number of other people were charged in relation to the case.
Retired civil servant Alexander Merchant, working mum Helen Kinvig and advocate Christopher Kinley also join the board.
The seats were filled uncontested after 4 of the 9 members walked out last month.
