Government to fund Langness appeal
It's estimated that the cost of the Langness enquiry could double now that an appeal has been taken to the high court.
The fees will initially be paid by the Department of Infrastructure, and are estimated to be between £20,000 and £50,000.
The initial cost of the enquiry was just short of £50,000.
The report into the enquiry says there are public rights of way at Langness, but seven parties have objected to the findings, including landowners Jeremy and Francis Clarkson
