Man blamed self-inflicted stab wounds on ex

A man who stabbed himself then blamed his ex-girlfriend of causing the wounds has appeared in court.

28 year old Andrew Krypner of no fixed abode admitted making use of provoking behaviour.

Last weekend he visited his ex so he could see their three children. An arguement started and he was asked to leave.

Krypner got hold of a knife and started to stab himself in the stomach.

He went to Ramsey Police Station where he told officers that his ex had stabbed him.

Officers arrested the woman, but she was later released and he admitted he caused the wounds.

He'll appear in court again on July 6th.
