Driver taken to hospital following four-vehicle RTC on Mountain Rd

One man was taken to hospital following a four-vehicle road traffic collision on the Mountain Road yesterday.

Police have reported that a vehicle was travelling at speed on the Douglas bound carriageway, when it collided with a van which was in line with vehicles that were slowing down.

This then caused the van to collide with the vehicle in front and the other in front of that.

The driver of the van was taken to Nobles Hospital for whiplash injuries.

No one else required medical treatment at the scene.
