IOM Government are supporting a NHS campaign next month to encourage smokers to quit - this year's theme being Smoke Free Families.
Stoptober begins from October, with a 28-smoke free incentive aimed at training smokers to stop smoking for good.
The Smoke Free Families them is designed to inspire anyone of any age and at any stage, to sign up to the IOM Quit4You service for one month.
Head of the Island campaign, Lauren McLachlan of Quit4You said: ‘We’re offering a full range of free support to help people quit so I’d urge anyone in the Island who’s thinking about stopping smoking to give Stoptober a go and see how they get on. There’s literally nothing to lose and so much to gain!'
Quit4You advisers will be located across the Island this month to help people sign up.
The number to call to sign up for the Stoptober challenge is 642404.
