People on the Isle of Man are being told to "make contact immediately" if they own an affected unmodified tumble dryer following a major manufacturer's recall of machines at risk of fire.
The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading is making the public aware of an important update issued in relation to specific models of Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Swan and Proline tumble dryers manufactured before September 2015.
If the dryer has not been modified by the manufacturer, it may pose a risk of fire.
Consumers can check if their dryer is affected by calling 0800 151 0905 with their model and serial numbers, or by visiting www.whirlpool.co.uk/dryerrecall
Consumers will be able to choose from a variety of free replacement or repair options.
