University College Isle of Man (UCM) launched its latest Leisure Course Guide, which details a wide range of courses within a number of diverse areas: business & technology, cookery & cake decorating, the creative arts, general interest, health & well-being, languages and adult literacy & numeracy,
These leisure courses have been developed in response to community need and the selection offered provides fun and enriching opportunities for everyone.
Among the new courses offered include: Cooking Soviet Cuisine, Sewing for Beginners, the Viking Archaeology of the Isle of Man, Aerobics, Step & Sculpt and Portuguese for Absolute Beginners.
The age range of UCM leisure students is 16 to 90 years; they therefore represent a wide cross-section of the College community. To provide ease for students to participate in leisure courses, they are currently offered at 17 locations throughout the Island, including St. John’s Primary School, a new location introduced this year.
To register on a leisure course, students need to return a completed enrolment form to UCM (via post, email or in person) and payments can either be made in person (cash, cheque or card), via post (cheque) or telephone (card). Forms are available from www.ucm.ac.im and are also provided in the Leisure Guide.
The Leisure Course Guides are available at the UCM main campus on Homefield Road, the airport, libraries around the Island and the JobCentre.
