Police have confirmed a man was stabbed in Peel yesterday evening.
Officers were called to an address in Castle Street at just before 7pm.
A 20-year-old local man had sustained injuries consistent with him having been stabbed. These injuries were treated at the scene and were not deemed to be life threatening, with the man involved subsequently receiving treatment at Nobles hospital before being later discharged.
Owing to the nature of this incident, together with those suspected of being involved having made off prior to police arriving at the address, specialist armed officers were deployed in order to locate and arrest them in and around the Peel area.
Police have confirmed three local men in their late teens and early twenties together with a local teenage female, all of whom are known to each other, were arrested later the same evening on suspicion of their involvement in this matter.
The three males are currently being detained at Douglas Police Headquarters, while enquires continue to be made this morning by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department. The female party has currently been bailed pending further enquiries into her suspected involvement.
Police are also appealing to anyone who may have any information, or who may know anything as to the specific circumstances of this matter to make contact with them at Police Headquarters on 631212, or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
