Sunday free parking to be scrapped in Douglas
Mon, 04 Feb 2019
Free parking at three car parks in Douglas on Sundays is going to be scrapped from this April.
Motorists will be charged £2 to park in the Chester Street and Shaw's Brow multi-storeys or at the Bottleneck car park.
Douglas Borough Council says the move will generate additional income of about £29,000 per year for the authority.
Some councillors and businesses say the move will deter families visiting the Capital on Sundays.
