An Easyjet flight from the Isle of Man to Gatwick Airport were met by emergency services on touch down after an alert was issued.
Just after take-off from Ronaldsway on Sunday evening- two loud bangs were heard from one of the planes engines.
It was initially thought that a bird strike was responsible for the loud bang but the aircraft’s diagnostic system later identified a problem with a bleed valve in one of the engines.
The plane was met by fire crews on arrival where an inspection was carried out.
In a statement, Easyjet said: "At no point was the safety of the passengers and crew compromised. The aircraft taxied to stand and passengers disembarked normally."
