Manx cyclists included in longlist for World Championships

A number of Manx cyclists have been included in British Cycling's longlist of riders for next month's UCI Road World Championships.

Mark Christian and Peter Kennaugh are included in the list for the elite men's road race, which also features Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas.

Anna Christian is part of the longlist for the elite women's road race.

Matt Bostock has a chance to feature in the under-23 men's road race, while Amelia Sharpe is included in the junior women's road race squad, having won the same event at the British Championships earlier this year.

The World Championships take place in Innsbruck in Austria from September 23rd.
